![]() ![]() This may come from your VPN software, so a "local" form, or it can happen on the network (therefore no settings are needed - every app believes it's talking directly with the web server in question, but actually the proxy is in the middle. it sounds like you've got some transparent proxying going on - a technique where web-like traffic (i.e. ![]() If you want to use a proxy, you need to fill in the proxy in the Plugin Manager settings dialog, if you leave it blank, it won't use a proxy (no "no proxy" radio button required - just leave it blank). You're over-complicating it - Plugin Manager uses the setting shown in the settings dialog in Plugin Manager, and nothing else. So when the "InstantProxy" should be directed to NoProxy, as is the case with IE, Plugin Manager still can not connect to the sites to download the files. Its like it saves the actual proxy that was configured when it was connected to the VPN via the "InstantProxy" configuration file. I don't have the proxy configured in the PluginManager dialog, but it uses the configured "InstantProxy" when connected to the VPN, and doesn't release it when it is not connected - even after reboots. With the Plugin Manager the problems swapped. ![]() I hand code an http_proxy environment variable to switch between the VPN proxy when the VPN is enabled and no proxy when the VPN is disabled. It works with Internet Explorer, however, I have had problems with other applications not being able to use the VPN proxy when the VPN is enabled. ![]() The OS "Internet Settings" is not configurable - it is set by our IT department with an "InstantProxy" configuration file that loads and unloads the VPN proxy. It works when I am connected to my VPN, but the proxy variable in the Plugin Manager is blank. ![]()
